To the Men and Women of United States Air Forces Central Command

It is my great honor and pleasure to return to the region and have the opportunity to lead the men and women of United States Air Forces Central Command. I deeply appreciate your service and the sacrifices of your families as we provide air, space and cyberspace capabilities to United States Central Command. I am confident our Air Component expertise will continue to play a pivotal role in the USCENTCOM mission. Responding to crises, deterring or defeating state and nonstate aggression, and establishing the conditions for security will remain preeminent as we collaborate with our partners to increase our collective capabilities in the region. The task at hand is great, the challenges complex, and each service member, DoD Civilian, and Contractor remains crucial to our enduring success. You can expect me to lead United States Air Forces Central Command by executing at a high standard; being disciplined in execution; paying attention to the details; and having fun. I believe our success is a natural by-product if we always strive for excellence, sustain a culture of compliance, ensure the details have been addressed, and maintain proper balance in this high tempo environment. This message will restate our mission, outline our vision, and articulate our priorities during my command tenure.

MISSION

United States Air Forces Central Command, in concert with our coalition, joint, and interagency partners, delivers decisive air, space, and cyberspace capabilities for United States Central Command, ally nations, and America.

VISION

United States Air Forces Central Command will leverage its unique capabilities as part of ajoint, coalition, and interagency team to proactively respond to USCENTCOM enduring and emerging regional priorities to meet commander's intent.
 
AFCENT PRIORITIES

DELIVER AIRPOWER -- Deliver full-spectrum Air Component capabilities in air, space, and cyberspace. Ina proactive and responsive manner, we will employ airpower in the right place, at the right time to promote security and stability in the region, to degrade and defeat violent extremists, to counter malign state influences, and to address any contingency in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.

DEFEND THE REGION -- From national and regional interests to the individual member within our command, we must remain ever vigilant and resilient our defense. It is imperative we aggressively plan, prepare, and present executable options while standing ready to lead or support USCENTCOM contingency operations. Taking the steps to defend critical command and control elements and base infrastructure against traditional and asymmetric threats is paramount. Finally and most importantly, we must defend and protect each and every member from our joint, coalition, and interagency team-our success depends on creating an environment where all can achieve their full potential.

DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS -- Continuously collaborate with our partners to strengthen integrated air and missile defense capabilities across the region, prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and maintain a credible deterrent capability in the region. Support and advance whole-of­ government approaches to regional and trans-regional issues by developing and advancing coalition, joint, interagency, and cross-command partnerships and relationships .

As we continue to DELIVER AIRPOWER, DEFEND THE REGION, and DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS, our credibility rests on everything we do-from the highest risk mission to the respect we have for one another. I have little patience for half-hearted efforts and zero tolerance for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Civilians, or Contractors disrespecting their fellow AFCENT members. Regardless of your duty title, your rank, or your AOR tour length, each of you is vitally important to our mission success and you should be extremely proud of your contributions. Serving our nation, and each other, is among the most honorable and noble of callings. I am exceptionally proud of the precision with which you execute our mission. Your professionalism and dedication are truly world class. Your nation deserves nothing less.
