An HH-60 Pave Hawk pilot with the 1st Expeditionary Rescue Group performs post-flight checks, July 5, 2018, at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. The unit provides combat search and rescue in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Their helicopters are equipped with rescue equipment that includes a hoist capable of lifting a 600-pound load from a hover height of 200 feet and a personnel locating system that is compatible with the PRC-112 survival radio, which can identify a survivor's location.
