The 386th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron conducted a National Police Week opening ceremony and K-9 demonstration at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, May 9, 2021. In 1963, U.S. president John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation stating that the calendar week of May 15, Peace Officers Memorial Day, would constitute as a week of each year commemorating, recognizing and honoring law enforcement personnel. During this week, ASAB organized various events with opportunities for all U.S. and coalition personnel to celebrate and memorialize individuals who play a critical role in safeguarding human rights and freedoms.
