379th ECES and ECS renovate radio tower
Senior Airman Ryan Batt, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron pavements and equipment apprentice, ensures the Terex RT 780 crane stabilizer is secured correctly Oct. 8, 2016, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Airmen from the 379th ECES and 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron took down several inactive microwave dish transmitters from a radio tower. The transmitters previously provided internet and phone communication to the both the base and Camp As Sayliyah, but base infrastructure improvements over the years have rendered the dishes unnecessary.
