First time: Deployed fighters employ new munitions ferry tactic
A U.S. Air Force F-15 Strike Eagle assigned to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing sits fully loaded waiting to ferry a double load out of munitions to a forward operating location in the Middle East, April 24, 2021. This new configuration allows the wing to ferry extra munitions to austere bases projecting combat power throughout the theater, on the back of its workhorse, the F-15 Strike Eagle.
