C-130J CRASHES IN AFGHANISTAN

An Air Force C-130J assigned to the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, part of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, crashed October 2 at approximately 12:19 a.m. at Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan.

The crew (6 U.S. servicemembers) and passengers (5 civilian) died in the crash.

First responders are on scene.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. More information will be released as it is gathered.
