AFCENT Band plays for students in Oman

MUSCAT, Oman ? U.S. Air Forces Central?Expeditionary Band ?Falcon? performs for students at Azzan Bin Qais School in Muscat, Oman. Based in Southwest Asia, the band is comprised of deployed Airmen from Active Duty, Reserve and Air National Guard bands.? The AFCENT Band rotates several ensembles through the AOR that perform a wide variety of musical styles to appeal to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. ?Falcon? is deployed from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. PRT strives to provide brighter future to youths in Qalat

QALAT, Afghanistan -- Local contractors mix cement at the Qalat boy's middle and high school campus for the construction of a soccer stadium as students look on. This summer members of the Zabul Provincial Reconstruction Team facilitated the installation of a well, electrical upgrade and provided a month of food subsidies for students. Joe Montano provides security while other members of the Zabul Provincial Reconstruction Team survey construction progress made at a boys school here August 10th. Colonel Robert Craig, director of exercises and engagements, U.S. Central Command Air Forces, an on-scene commander for the U.S. military contingent talks with two Dubai police officers. The police officers are part of the team responsible for security at the Dubai Air Show and will ensure the security of U.S. aircraft upon departure from Dubai. The United States military is providing support for the 10th Edition of the Dubai Air Show from November 11-15, 2007. Approximately 250 military members and a variety of U.S. Air Force and Navy aircraft will exhibit a snapshot of the U.S. military's diverse aircraft inventory. The United States military is a long-standing participant in the biennial Dubai Air Show. Mohammed A. Lengawi, General Manager of Airport safety and Crisis management for the government of Dubai, gives Lt. Gen. Gary North, commander of 9th Air Force and U.S. Central Command Air Forces, a tour of the Mobil Incident Command Center used by the Government of Dubai's Department of Civil Aviation. The MICC is a state of the art facility and is on stand-by in case of any emergency that may arise during the Dubai Air Show. Lieutenant J.D. Wells with the VAW-123 from the USS Enterprise flies the Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye flight simulator Nov. 12, 2007, during the Dubai Air Show. Lieutenant Wells is an aircrew member on the E-2 Hawkeye aircraft and is in the UAE in support of the air show. Approximately 250 Airman, Soldiers and Sailors, and various Air Force and Navy aircraft from bases in the Persian Gulf region and the United States are supporting the air show from Nov 11-15 2007.
