African American Heritage Month

SOUTHWEST ASIA – Tech Sgt. Lakeisha White, 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron supply specialist, performs an interpretive dance during the 2012 Gospel Explosion Feb. 25, at memorial plaza here. The gospel explosion was one of several events held on the installation throughout the month in celebration of African American Heritage Month. Other events held on the installation included a diversity panel and luncheon, and a poetry reading event called “The Spoken Word.” During the month service members to time to honor contributions by African Americans to help shape the U.S. and its armed forces.
