The Afghan National Army Air Corps (ANAAC) Kandahar Air Wing (KAW) gained an important new capability. The wing's assigned aviation maintenance technicians officially completed their first 50-hour phase inspection of an Mi-17 helicopter. The inspection – which included electrical, communication, engine, rotor, hydraulic and airframe systems from nose to tail – was validated by ANAAC Quality Assurance personnel from the air wing at Kabul.
