BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- Roger Arnold, a freelance photojournalist working for mainstream media magazines, photographs Bagram Airfield?s Falconer team here, Oct. 13, 2009. The Falconer team is contracted with the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Safety office to minimize the potential of a local bird-strike with a transiting aircraft. Mr. Arnold was documenting the 455th AEW Safety program where Airmen collect species of birds, which have hit aircraft, and send them to the Smithsonian where they are identified and studied.
