Firefighters Use QR Code to Speed ADAB Emergency Response
Staff Sgt. Wyatt Hurd and Tech Sgt. Cody Williams, both firefighters with the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, are working to expand the ways personnel can report an emergency at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 31, 2021. The Airmen have developed a QR Code that can be scanned in to a smart phone to allow base personnel to quickly contact the fire dispatch center on the base.

PRIME BEEF removes rubber from AFCENT runways

David Hungness, both 577th Expeditionary Prime Beef Squadron, load an environmentally-friendly rubber removal agent into a tank at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 9, 2021. The process is generally done at night, when there is less air traffic. If too much rubber builds up on the runway, it can become slick and unsafe for future landings. The Airmen from the 577th EPBS are visiting air bases around the Central Command area of responsibility, performing the rubber removal task
