SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Tech. Sgt. Susan Padilla-Roman
380th Expeditionary Medical Group
Duty title: Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of Primary Care
Home Unit: Andrews Air Force Base, M.d.
Most fulfilling part of my job: Teaching the medical junior enlisted that they directly prevent illnesses and facilitate high-quality medical care for our Airmen that move the Air Force mission.
Where do you see yourself in five years: Retired Master Sergeant transitioning to
a civilian career as an allergy technician.
Supervisor's Comments: Sergeant Padilla-Roman has displayed reference type accuracy in her role as Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of the Primary Care Clinic. Her uncanny ability to recite Air Force Instructions and Operating Instructions on command with precision surely comes from her ability to speed read. It's not enough that she knows the right way to do business but ensures that all those around her have a firm grasp of concepts as well. She worked tirelessly on the revamped Medical Out Processing system enabling work centers to remain robust and focused on the mission. Her positive attitude and commitment to the wing are most evident in her training plan and updated continuity binders established for those that fill her position in the future. She has demonstrated outstanding flexibility by managing a $200,000 host nation appointment program, and 300 local healthcare appointments. I'm proud of the efforts that Sergeant Padilla-Roman puts forth everyday as she sets the example for all to follow.
