Hungry? Meet the motivated "masters of deployed dining" who keep the Deid fed. Members assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron's Food Services Flight conduct “quality assurance” checks daily to ensure warfighters are “well-nourished and ready for the mission” at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Duties also include adhering to a Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Public Health checklists. Additionally, dining facilities follow a strict 28-day “rotational” menu and adheres to “Go for Green” standards; an easy-to-understand, color-coded system detailing what to eat a lot of (green), in moderation (yellow) and occasionally (red). Menus are built to offer variety regardless of the color code.
