Members assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron's Food Services Flight conduct “quality assurance” checks daily to ensure warfighters are “well-nourished and ready for the mission” at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Duties also include adhering to a Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Public Health checklists. Additionally, dining facilities follow a strict 28-day “rotational” menu and adheres to “Go for Green” standards; an easy-to-understand, color-coded system detailing what to eat a lot of (green), in moderation (yellow) and occasionally (red). Menus are built to offer variety regardless of the color code.
