Col Michael C. Jones is the Commander, 386th Expeditionary Mission Support Group, Southwest Asia. As the commander, he oversees six combat squadrons providing installation and sortie generation support in diverse functions such as force support, security forces, logistics, contracting, communications and civil engineering.

Col Jones received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1994. As a career logistics officer, he has served in a variety of base, joint and staff assignments in Asia, Europe and the United States as a flight chief, staff officer, operations officer, logistics advisor, squadron commander and deputy group commander.
