Senior Airman Julian Rangel stands by one of the mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles that two Air Force quick reaction forces used while defending a forward operating base from a Taliban attack July 17 near Kabul Airport and Afghan air force base, Afghanistan. Toor Pekai, the wife of Col. Amir Jan, Afghan air force staff judge advocate, suffered a massive stroke about four months ago. October 1, 2012 she arrived at Bagram Air Field for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess the damage that was done by the stroke.
