Chief Master Sergeant Scott C. Loescher is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, Southwest Asia. He is the principal advisor to the commander on all military readiness, morale, quality of life, professional development and mentorship for all assigned personnel and provides oversight and recommendations regarding health, welfare, development and quality of life of the force. The wing is comprised of more than 4,000 active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Air men and coalition forces. Approximately 200 of the wing’s Airmen are filling Joint Expeditionary Taskings in support of U.S. Army combat support requirements at forward bases in Southwest Asia.  

 

Chief Loescher enlisted in the Air Force in September 1988 and is a career Tactical Air Control Party member spending most of his career in direct support of various United States Army maneuver units. Before assuming his current position, he served as Command Chief, 49th Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, where he was the principal senior enlisted military advisor to the Wing Commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the 3,538 enlisted personnel on the base. His combat experience includes multiple tours in support of various operations including operations Desert Storm, Provide Promise, Deny Flight, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Resolute Support.
