Colonel JEREMY L. RENKEN

Col Jeremy Renken is the Deputy Commander of the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Force Central Command, Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The 378th AEW provides the 9th Air Force (Air Forces Central) commander tactical air and ground attack, aeromedical evacuation capability, and a ready, responsive, and resilient operational air base with integrated air defense. As the Vice, he supports the Commander and his team executes military operations to deter aggression and defend U.S. national interests in the region.

Col Renken earned his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. He graduated from pilot training at Sheppard AFB, Texas in December, 2001 and graduated from the F-15E Formal Training Unit in February, 2003. He has served as an F-15E Instructor Pilot, Weapons Officer and Flight Examiner. He is a Command Pilot with more than 3,000 hours in the T-37, T-38, AT-38, A-29, and F-15E. He has nearly 1,200 combat hours over Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. He has commanded at the squadron level, leading the 492d Fighter Squadron during a deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. His staff assignments include duty at Air Combat Command, Air Forces Central Command, the Air Staff and Space Staff.

Prior to his current position, Col Renken served as Director of the Chief of Space Operations Strategic Initiative Group, United States Space Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. The Strategic Initiatives Group supports the Chief of Space Operations by advising on strategic issues, planning service chief engagements, and developing service communication on strategic issues.
