Kandahar weather flight forecasters keep skies safe

455th Air Expeditionary Wing

Weather forecasters assigned to the 451st Expeditionary Operations Support Flight, provide weather support for all of southern Afghanistan and any assets that are deployed to Kandahar Airfield, as well as transient aircraft. Forecasters conduct meteorology readings every hour and brief all aircrews to include Afghan nationals on current weather conditions.
