Red Tails Spotlight: Staff Sgt. William Enterkine

SOUTHWEST ASIA --

Question: Why did you decide to join the Air Force and why do you continue to serve?

Answer: Both of my parents served in the United States Air Force. I grew up, traveling with my family, all over the world because of their military affiliation. I joined to provide the same experience for my family one day.

Q: What is one of your proudest achievements in your military career?

A: The proudest achievement in my military career was in 2010. I was stationed at Andrews AFB, Maryland to the 11th LRS. I was selected for the Executive Driver Service, an elite group of vehicle operators who supported visiting general officers with transportation requirements in the District of Columbia and the surrounding area.

Q: What is your contribution to the 332nd AEW mission?

A: I’m a vehicle operator. I provide effective and efficient transportation while operating heavy equipment, from tractor-trailers with munitions to buses filled with Airmen.

Q: What is your personal mission statement or what values and ethics are the most important to you?

A: I’ve never really made a mission statement for myself. However, I value respect and honesty. And do my best to show everyone around me with the same.

Q: What are some of your goals for the future?

A: My future goal is to finish my Engineering Management degree.
