Members of the 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron hosted an opening ceremony for National Police Week 2019 on March 13, 2019. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week. The week aims to pay homage to law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
