380TH AIR EXPEDITIONARY WING

The 380th Air Expeditionary Wing was established on Jan. 25, 2002. It is located in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility and is one of the most diverse combat wings in the Air Force. The wing is comprised of 10 squadrons and its mission partners include an Army air defense battalion, and multiple coalition partners.

The wing's mission is to conduct combat operations, directed by the President in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Spartan Shield, Enduring Sentinel, Prosperity Guardian and Poseidon Archer, to protect national interests in U.S. Central Command's 21-country area of responsibility. The wing maintains unmanned aerial vehicle aircraft in order to provide combat air power, in joint and combined aerospace operations with Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Coalition forces.

The 380th AEW brings together active duty, Reserve and Air National Guardsmen Airmen, joined with civilian patriots and DoD contractors, to carry out its mission.
