SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Tech. Sgt. Kevin Pearson, electrical systems craftsman from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, de-energized and grounded a transformer here Oct. 20. Sergeant Pearson donned high voltage rubber gloves before attempting to work on the electrical equipment. He was working on the transformer that powered half the base communication area. Daniel Alvarado, noncomissiined officer-in-charge of the electrical systmes flight from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, used a high voltage phase indicator here Oct. 20. The voltage indicator is used to test for the presence of voltage before attempting to work on the electrical equipment. Sergeant Alvarado is deployed from the 36th CES Anderson Air Force Base, Guam.
