AFCENT deploys AMC C-17s to enhance humanitarian airdrops into Gaza

A U.S. Army Central parachute rigger removes excess string from a parachute attached to humanitarian aid destined for Gaza inside a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III assigned to Air Mobility Command at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, March 13, 2024. Joint Base Charleston provided these C-17s to further enhance airdrop efforts to deliver humanitarian aid into Gaza. U.S. Army Central Command Soldiers, specialized in rigging supplies for airdrop, ensured parachutes were prepared so that palletized food and water supplies could be dropped safely from the air.
