I’m Senior Airman Timothy Morin, a 370th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group ramp controller. I am deployed from the 732nd Air Mobility Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. I joined the Air Force because I was raised on the idea to do something greater than myself and contribute something positive to society.

As a ramp controller, my job is to oversee all ramp operations and ensure aircraft are serviced safely, correctly and on time. The best part of my mission is getting to provide support to our counterparts at other bases. The most rewarding part of the job is seeing people we support and hearing what they were able to achieve because of the support we provide them.

A few of the challenges I face are limited material handling equipment and flight line space. In order to ensure we are able to accommodate multiple aircraft at one time and not delay missions, we maintain constant communication with the Tanker Airlift Control Center and the Air Mobility Division to predict aircraft requirements and schedule accordingly.

My biggest professional goal is to complete my Community College of the Air Force degree before the end of my deployment. My personal goal is to establish a strong financial foundation to better prepare myself for a financially stable future.

Some of my favorite hobbies are fishing and working out.
