Question: Why did you decide to join the Air Force and why do you continue to serve?
Answer: My sister joined several years before me. I saw where she was in life and all the great things she had been able to do so early in her life. I knew that’s where I wanted to be when I got to that age. It was a good choice because right now a lot of doors are opening.
Q: What is one of your proudest achievements in your military career?
A: I was given the opportunity as an Airman 1st Class to brief the now Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Gen. Stephen Wilson, back when he was the Air Force Global Strike Command commander and his French counterpart who was the French Strategic Air Command commander about my squadron’s contributions to the fight at Whiteman, Air Force Base, Missouri.
Q: What is your contribution to the 332nd AEW mission?
A: As an analyst, I keep watch for important information from the area of responsibility and then fuse it together to provide analysis. I create presentations and convey this information to the commander and staff members to allow them to make informed decisions. I also conduct briefings with everyone from senior NCOs to Airmen to keep them connected to the fight.
Q: What is your personal mission statement or what values and ethics are the most important to you?
A: We all have flaws and we shouldn’t exploit each other’s flaws to hide our own.
Q: What are some of your goals for the future?
A: Finish my degree and attend an advanced training program for my Air Force specialty or commission as an officer.
