Toor Pekai, the wife of Col. Amir Jan, Afghan air force staff judge advocate, suffered a massive stroke about four months ago. October 1, 2012 she arrived at Bagram Air Field for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess the damage that was done by the stroke. Currently half of Pekai’s body is paralyzed and she is unable to speak. Amir Jan reached out through his coalition mentor to gain more insight into her condition. (Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
