Grandfather’s World War II legacy continued by pilot grandson
Capt. Shawn Jensen, a E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System pilot with the 763rd Expeditionary Reconnaisance Squadron, is from San Antonio, Texas. His grandfather, 2nd Lt. Harry Burdette, began his pilot training at what is today's Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. Both gentlemen trained on the T-6 Texan single engine aircraft from th enjoyed their respective eras while earning their wings.
