AFCENT Band plays for students in Oman
MUSCAT, Oman ? U.S. Air Forces Central?Expeditionary Band ?Falcon? performs for students at Azzan Bin Qais School in Muscat, Oman. Based in Southwest Asia, the band is comprised of deployed Airmen from Active Duty, Reserve and Air National Guard bands.? Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Air transportation technicians assigned to the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron, with an assist from crew chiefs from the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, prepare a load of munitions for transport on a C-17 Globemaster III, Dec. 3, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. C-17s await orders
C-17 Globemaster IIIs await fuel, freight and flight crews here. The C-17 Globemaster III is the newest, most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area. The aircraft can perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions and can also transport litters and ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations when required. The inherent flexibility and performance of the C-17 force improve the ability of the total airlift system to fulfill the worldwide air mobility requirements of the United States.
