VICTORY BASE COMPLEX, Iraq -- Lt. Gen. Mike Hostage, U.S. Air Forces Central Command commander, is greeted by Maj. Gen. Joseph Reynes, Jr., Air Component Coordination Element commander, after landing here Aug. 24, 2009. During his visit, General Hostage participated in a Patriot Detail on Sather Air Base to honor a fallen Soldier. Later, he visited U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Charles Jacoby, Multi-National Corps-Iraq commanding general, where he assured General Jacoby the Air Force is dedicated to supporting operations here for the duration of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dan Oosterhous, Regional Air Movement Control Center chief assigned to the Combined Air Operations Center in Southwest Asia, observes while members of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority here demonstrate their ability to properly approve and disapprove civil aircraft flights throughout Iraq Aug. 20, 2009.
