POL fuels U.S., Iraqi forces in Baghdad
SATHER AIR BASE, Iraq -- Senior Airman David Britt, 447th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels lab technician, retrieves a fuel sample from "Frankenstein." The "Frankenstein," which was built primarily by Airman Britt, is a connection designed to re-circulate fuel through the hose to the apparatus allowing an individual to safely retrieve a fuel sample. Samples are taken weekly and used to test the fuel for water and sediment to ensure the Iraqi air force receives the highest quality fuel possible.
