Sather AB is located on the west side of Baghdad International Airport and is the largest mover of passengers in Iraq, averaging 6,200 passengers weekly and the second largest mover of cargo in Iraq, averaging more than 1,700 tons weekly. Leaflets aid in search of "most wanted"
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Brandon Fertig and Tech Sgt Alex Garrett, loadmasters deployed to the 40th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, Al Udeid Air Base, from Dyess AFB, TX, throws a box of leaflets out the door of a C-130 over designated zones during an airdrop. The 40th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, Al Udeid Air Base transport personnel and equipment in and around the AOR, provide aeromedical evacuation support,and make airdrops providing food, blankets, equipment, and leaflets to those on the ground. These leaflets are dropped to provide Coalition Forces with a means of mass communication to citizens in the area to aide in the capture of insurgents.
