Gen. Mike Holmes, who commanded the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing from March 2008 to April 2009, visited Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, May 25, 2017. During his visit, Holmes met with Airmen and Soldiers to discuss their role in the Afghanistan theater of operations and how their projection of airpower help make the country better. The units he visited presented him their organizational patch, which he proudly placed on his Occupational Camouflage Pattern uniform in appreciation to their kind gesture.
