Air Force Marathon

The Airman of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing and its mission partners participate in the Air Force Marathon event Sept. 17, 2011, at an air base in Southwest Asia. The wing held a half-marathon and 10-km run in conjunction with the Air Force Marathon held annually in Ohio to celebrate the creation of the U.S. Air Force. The race started at 4 a.m. and lasted approximately three and a half hours. 2011 marks the fifth year that the Air Force has sanctioned deployed-location races overseas.
