Sporting fresh paint and many other improvements, the Vasilievka Kindergarten School near Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan, provides more than 75 children a healthy setting in which to grow and learn thanks to thousands of dollars of donations and countless volunteer hours to refurbish and improve the once dilapidated building. In their off-duty time, Airmen from the private, non-profit Manas Service Organization recently delivered a new generator Feb. 20. With a fixer-upper attitude, the Airmen have done everything from repairing and painting playground equipment to funding a water pump and indoor plumbing. MSO volunteers have also provide a refrigerator, stove, school supplies, clothes and teaching aids to help improve the learning environment for the children living in and round Vinogradnoye Village.
