Members of “Hypersonic” assigned to U.S. Air Forces Central Command, perform for patients and staff at the Intra-Theater Care Program at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Mar. 24, 2014. The ITCP is the only recovery facility in the Central Command area of responsibility and wounded warriors from all services are sent here for treatment and recovery in order to return to their deployed location. As members of the AFCENT band, this trio is an acoustic ensemble with voice, guitar, and cajon, offering a wide variety of hit songs from genres such as jazz, pop, rock and country to help boost morale and decrease stress, helping patients heal. “Hypersonic” is deployed from Yokota Air Base, Japan and is preparing to tour several bases throughout Afghanistan in April, along with the other band members.
