U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Andre Walser-Castro, 378th Operations Support Squadron weather forecaster, monitors a Kestrel within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, May 19, 2025. 378th OSS weather forecasters utilize a Kestrel to monitor weather data such as surface pressure, wind speed and direction, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, surface visibility, precipitation and lightning detection.
