Chief Master Sergeant John G. Storms is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for Ninth Air Force (United States Air Forces Central), Southwest Asia. He advises the commander and staff on matters influencing the health, welfare, morale and effective utilization of assigned and deployed personnel. As the Air Component of United States Central Command, USAFCENT’s mission is to develop contingency plans and conduct air operations in a 20-nation area of responsibility.
Chief Storms joined the Air Force in June 1992 and graduated Security Specialist Technical Training at Lackland AFB, Texas. He has held numerous positions at squadron, group, wing and MAJCOM levels. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern), Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona.
