Col. Brandon Eskam is Commander at 332d Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia, where he commands a composite wing that includes a wide array of combat Air Force capabilities including precision strike, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and combat search and rescue in direct support of U.S. Air Forces Central and U.S. Central Command priorities. The wing is comprised of three Mission Generation Force Elements, an Expeditionary Air Base Group, two Staff directorates and 13 additional operational and support function squadrons with more than 2,600 total force Airmen.
Colonel Eskam entered into the United States Air Force in May 1997 after commissioning with the University of Oklahoma Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 675. He served on Active Duty for five years as an Intelligence Officer before transitioning to the South Dakota Air National Guard. He attended pilot training in 2002 and has been assigned to numerous operational and staff positions within the 114th Fighter Wing. Colonel Eskam is a Command Pilot with over 2,900 flying hours and is qualified as an Instructor Pilot. He has taken part in training operations in South Korea, Alaska, and Jordan. He has completed three combat flying tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Eskam served as a Commander, 114th Fighter Wing, Joe Foss Field, S.D.
