COLONEL DANELE S. RICHARDSON

Colonel Danele S. Richardson is the Deputy Commander - Sustainment, 378th Air Expeditionary Wing. The wing’s mission is to sustain and defend joint and partner forces while projecting combat power in support of theater plans and operations. She oversees 2,500 military and civilian personnel supporting multiple military operations.

Col Danele S. Richardson received her commission through Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2005 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma. She was a Staff Weather Officer to the XVIII Airborne Corps and III Corps where she deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Col Richardson was the Joint METOC Officer for Special Operations Command Africa where she deployed as the Current Operations Director for Joint Special Operations Task Force - Somalia.  Danele is also a former Commander of the 3d Combat Weather Squadron and an Airpower Strategist at Checkmate, Headquarters Air Force. Prior to her current position, Col Richardson was the Deputy Commander, 23d Air Task Force.
