Prepared for the worst, providing the best
SOUTHWEST ASIA – A rescue team of firefighters from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, prepare to enter a building full of smoke to look for potential victims during a practical exercise here August 7. Before entering a smoking building, the fire fighters placed protective equipment on such as the self-contained breathing apparatus, flashlights, pants and coat, gloves and nomex hood to protect the neck and head from the heat. The fire fighters will also bring a tool such as an ax and a halogen bar if there’s a possibility of forcible entry. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Alexandra M. Boutte)
