RAMCC teaches Iraqis to touch the sky
BAHGDAD -- Lt. Col. Dan Oosterhous, Regional Air Movement Control Center chief assigned to the Combined Air Operations Center in Southwest Asia, observes while members of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority here demonstrate their ability to properly approve and disapprove civil aircraft flights throughout Iraq Aug. 20, 2009. Colonel Oosterhous spent 60 days teaching the Iraqis to organize and archive their information on computer systems and use computer networks to process more than 400 daily flight requests and distribute a schedule to all aircraft command and control agencies throughout Iraq.
