SOUTHWEST ASIA -- First lieutenant Matthew Macfarlane, a C-130 pilot deployed with the 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, hangs up an American flag in the cargo area of a C-130 Hercules prior to takeoff of a mission Feb. 4, 2008, at an air base in the Persian Gulf Region. The flag belongs to one of Lieutenant Macfarlane's ROTC instructors and will be displayed while flying over Iraq on a mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
