U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Vernon Price, a medical technician assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Medical Group, places numbing eye drops in the left-eye socket of an Afghan soldier prior to placing the prosthetic into it while at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan Aug. 7, 2014. The soldier suffered an eye trauma when shrapnel from an explosion hit him four months ago.
