The burden of service
Post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental health condition that can occur after someone has gone through a traumatic event. PSTD has a wide range of symptoms including flashbacks, memory gaps, being easily startled or having a distorted feeling of guilt. Service members don’t have to carry the burden alone. Chaplains, first sergeants, and mental health providers are all resources available to help. (U.S. Air Force graphic/Senior Airman Damon Kasberg)
