PSAB bolsters runway safety
A 77th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron pilot tests an arrest cable March 31, 2021, at Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Members of the 378th Expeditionary Operation Support Squadron, Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron and Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron performed the test to certify the use of the arrest cable, a mechanical system used in an emergency landing to quickly decelerate aircraft. The certification was part of ongoing efforts at PSAB to bolster redundancy and resiliency of infrastructure to support the wing’s mission of sustaining and defending joint forces in the region.
