Behind the Screens: A 378th ECS Portrait Series
From left, U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Roberto Reyes, 378th Expeditionary Communications Squadron section chief, and Jan Davillier, 378th ECS cable technician II, record gas levels using a gas detector within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, May 1, 2025. Due to the hazardous environments cable technicians operate in, the team utilizes a gas detector to record the presence of flammable gases, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and oxygen, prior to entering manholes. They also continuously monitor gas levels as technicians work to ensure their safety. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kevin Dunkleberger)
