55th EFS and EFGS take on Operation Agile Spartan
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Josh Runyan, 378th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants Flight fuels equipment maintenance noncommissioned officer in charge, prepares to use a VIPER kit during a simulated integrated combat turn during Operation Agile Spartan 2025.2 within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Aug. 26, 2025. The VIPER kit is a fuel adapter with a hydrostatically tested hose that connects U.S. assets to partner nation equipment. It ensures personnel’s safety from hazards during hot refueling with the aircraft on, while enabling rapid airpower generation during combat operations which were tested during Agile Spartan.
