In an effort to improve their English skills, Afghan air force airmen attend Kabul English Language Training Center on a daily basis.

Students study English for approximately 25 hours each week until they can achieve a mimimum passing score on the Defense Language Institute's English Comprehension Level test. A typical student coming into KELTC without any English knowledge would need approximately seven months to achieve a score of 55 said officials.

Located on the AAF compound, KELTC provides Afghan airmen with English classes to prepare them for their specific jobs and follow-on training.
