PRT Kapisa brightens future for girls of Kapisa
KAPISA PROVINCE, Afghanistan – U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Sierco, Kapisa Provincial Reconstruction Team commander (far right) from Bowie, Md., and U.S. Air Force Capt. Seth Platt, Kapisa PRT lead Engineer (left) from Pomfert Conn., participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony with school and Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan officials at Kohi Girl’s School in Afghanya here, March, 28. The girl’s school was built to accommodate more than 400 female students from the Afghanya valley. The mission of Kapisa PRT is to help facilitate the local and national governments of Afghanistan working together to help provide for the development and security needs of the Afghan people.
